McLaren 720s at £130,000

2017 car, 4 owners, 5,000 miles, not a very popular interior/colour but £130k?

To me that does not stack up well. Comes across as a Friday 13th car. I’d avoid it.

Colour & trim by Stevie Wonder, must have originally been a McLaren press car. Yes just looked at Smee’s 150 video it’s on his web site when it was a new press car.

I really like that and I’m not a fan of monochrome paintwork. The interior colours, the wheels and the subtle colour of the paint are a perfect combination and at that price, my wallet is twitching!

That car and that spec was what made think the 720s wasn't that horrid after all. I would definetly pick it, bargain price and bloody good spec. Was an early launch press car but did not seem to be one of the ragged ones.
Mighty bargain for what is probably a very fit car.

And if it doesn't sell quickly at that kind of price (assuming straight) the market is in trouble.

The dealer was at great pains to assure me that the luxury version is just as quick as the performance one. Apparently not everyone realises this, which he partly blamed for the prices of them being lower. If I’d have bought one it would have been a luxury as I don’t really like alcantara except on outright track toys.

Of course could just be sales BS!

The difference was never performance figures was it? It was always just spec I thought.

No difference in performance. Just trim and spec.

If I were to buy again, I would probably get a Luxury model with leather etc.

Luxury comes with leather, Performance comes with alcantara, that's the main difference. They also comes with a slightly different set of options over the base car, but nothing you cannot simply add in as a paid option to either spec. It's really just leather vs alcantara.

I speculate that the £100k 720 will be with us soon. And if I'm wrong that's OK. I think they are just awesome cars but I can't get over the eyes gouged out looks. To those who love the look, you aren't wrong. It's just for me, not for me. No offence like.

I remember being at Geneva and seeing it for the first time. I laughed it off and said it was a st design.
Now I love the look of it. Certain colours make it look better than others.

The 100k 720s would imply a similar move lower in all supercars...can't see one of these bring that level for at least a couple of yrs
