2001 360 Manual - X821 OBN - Anyone Know It?
Discussion
As title, the above car is up for sale with a dealer on the South coast and couldn't be any further away from me, so before I expend the energy going to view it I'm wondering if anyone has viewed it or knows the car?
51k miles, 10 owners, up for a tenner short of £60k - which to my eyes is a tad toppy despite being a manual.
It looks to have been for sale for several months (as most seem to be) and despite waiting for the advert to be updated with the (Full) service history, it hasn't. They're interested in a 'deal' which has piqued my interest to put something together that would suit us both. That said going forward on the face of it, if I don't bond with the 360 I can envisage moving it on will be a hard sell.
Interesting MOT record showing 16k miles between Mar - Dec 2009 along with the examiner 'highlighting' rear bumper damage doesn't inspire confidence that it was just a scrape if it caught their attention.
It's not red, but I quite like the colour combo.
Any info greatly appreciated.

The market is quiet due to the time of year and state of the economy. Ideal time to make a sensible but lowball offer. I recently got a good few K off a F main dealer despite protestation that their prices were "fixed".
If I was doing a pound notes deal then yes I agree, but when you factor in another car to px your arguing 'cost to change' to see how flexible they are with what profit they've got in the car, which in this case I suspect quite a chunk. Car looks quite tidy to me, although it’s not been photographed in the best light, and as stated it’s not red, I would say it’s priced about right for a manual, looking at what’s on auto trader, £59999 is the bottom of the price range of the 6 manual coupes for sale under 60k miles.
A look over its MOT history doesn’t show anything much to worry about, not a single advisory until you go back to 2016 and only for brake pipes, and nothing at all scary on the full mot history, they are known for ball joints, so not surprisingly there have been the odd advisory for that, and tyres. The bumper damage who knows, run a car vertical check if your worried.
The big questions are on service history, and when it last had belts and a clutch (given the mileage) oh and if the switches are sticky or not, can’t really see on the pics.
It’s had 11 owners according to their own website.
Annoyingly very light on detail on the advert, suppose to make you call and strike up the conversation.
I’m gonna say it’s on SOR, and if you wanting to do px you wont be getting much off the asking price despite the time of year and state of the world, if it’s on SOR the margin will be small, if it’s their stock you have a better chance of a deal presuming they need to shift it.
It’s basically a manual car at F1 money, seems ok to me as long as the history checks out, and it doesn’t need major and belts and the switches doing or a clutch!
Good luck!
