Hi all. I'm new to the forum world and need some help!
Basically my 2008 F430 f1 Spider roof operation has been poor but eventually worked - until last week.
Then a few days ago to my frustration it would only half open and if I waited a few seconds and then pressed the roof operation switch it would reluctantly lift the rear hatch but go no further.
After many repeated attempts - no progress. After a minute or so the rear hatch closed on its own (guess hydraulics released) but the main rood would not even close.
I then manually gently eased the main folding roof to the almost closed position on the top of the windscreen and operated the roof switch again and it clicked as if fully closed but the dashboard indicates that the roof is not closed.
A day later I thought I would try the roof again. I went to unlock the door with the key fob and the lights flashed but the central locking did not operate.
I then used the key manually and unlocked the door. Got in the car and was about to start the engine when the drivers side window, which had dropped an inch or so as usual, began going up and down the inch or so about 3 or 4 times before stopping.
I then started the car and it fired up as usual and all appeared normal on the dashboard.
Then I went to operate the roof switch and see if there was any change in the roof opening. Nothing happened at all - no sound from the operation of the hydraulic roof at all - the roof operation did not move at all. No unlocking of the roof - nothing.
This morning I found a very informative YouTube video which showed how to access the roof hydraulic fluid reservoir and how to top it up. I followed this and sure enough the reservoir was down about half an inch below the centre mark and so I topped it up using Mercedes Benz ZH-M MB 342.0 hydraulic fluid. Bit fiddly to access but only took half an hour.
Unfortunately the roof operation switch is still lifeless along with no sound of the hyraulic roof pump working and so no movement of the roof at all.
Have I blown a fuse or relay somewhere or could the hydraulic pump be damaged?
I've checked my Ferrari owners manual and don't see any mention of a fuse or relay for the roof hydraulic pump?
If it is a fuse or relay could this be why the central locking has stopped as well?
Really grateful if anyone help - the weather is perfect for an outing in the Ferrari (roof down) - but roof up - not so good.

Ok so are you sure your battery is not flatish ? When did you last use the car for a good distance ?

Then check if there's a similar issue reported on ferrarichat (many more users as US oriented)

If all else try contacting ALdous at AV Engineering on Monday

Many thanks for reply.
I will check the battery voltage - it starts just fine - its on a battery keeper when not driven, but you never know . . .

I will post this on Ferrari Chat and see if anyone come across this odd fault.
