New Ferrari (1st July @ 21.40) - Amalfi??
Discussion
My understanding is that it will still be a V8 turbo with no hybridisation. I could be wrong. I am a bit interested as it’s maybe about time to replace my 458 and Portofino and have one last roll of the brand new Ferrari dice (I am well into my 70s now). However I’m not sure I could face the depreciation even if it would at least mean keeping a chunk of IHT money out of Rachael from accounts clutches.
Going to Meridien’s launch next week so shall see what I think then.

Surely it will just be a Roma M, or similar name i.e. a few tweaks here and there and a bit more power. It's a pretty familiar story. Let's hope they ditch all the haptic switches from the car, which by all accounts is the only thing wrong with the existing car.
You’d have thought, but apparently not……I’m not sure tweaks and a facelift facelift work if it requires expenditure of double that of a lightly used one.
Might be, but it seems they’ve a new name, so you’d potentially expect something more.
V6 from 296 please, plus nicer looks, that’d be epic.

Man maths at its finest - you've already got it for 40% off

New Ferrari being released tomorrow night - supposedly the Roma replacement.
Whats everybody hoping for? Personally id like the V6 from the 296 (with our without hybrid) and a convertible hard top (as per Portofino) plus drop dead looks.....

I'm not attending as I don't believe it will be a gnarly V8 Whats everybody hoping for? Personally id like the V6 from the 296 (with our without hybrid) and a convertible hard top (as per Portofino) plus drop dead looks.....

a 296 V6 would be the next best thing. Let's see !

Normally when Ferrari go big on the launch it s the least important model, they need to generate sales, the good stuff is released online and a VIP preview before at Factory.
by least important you could mean highest volume and arguably therefore the most important model...... bennno said:

Think I know what you meant to say, but you will take some slack from Roma & Portofino owners! Hardly any interest in it over on Ferrari Chat, normally a new car release has about 12 to 15 pages before reveal, Amalfi has just got past page 3. There will be some known VIP customers there as they are already holidaying in Italy. It will be overpriced again, about 15 to 18 months out before customers receive cars, a few price increases in between before you take delivery, all to keep the shareholders happy. Beautiful part of the World though..Are they going to amalgamate the Portofino and Roma into one model? The Porto has been off sale for a good while now and it always seemed like there was a lot of overlap but not enough USP for both.
If the Cali/Porto bloodline is dead and the Roma Coupe/spyder is the answer I'm not sure what the question was

The Cali was superseded by the Portofino, the Roma superseded it, rumour has it the Amalfi replaces the RomaIf the Cali/Porto bloodline is dead and the Roma Coupe/spyder is the answer I'm not sure what the question was
