Hi all, thinking about taking the plunge with the first Ferrari. Where would people recommend for pre-purchase inspections for non-warranty cars? One of the main dealers or an independent (eg Furlonger etc)?

Definitely recommend the inspection but you won't catch everything even so

Main dealer will just do a warranty inspection and it's limited.

Go to a specialist.

What model?

Probably an FF or Lusso but not sure about the market at the moment!

Definitely worth an inspection. I've had my FF for 8 months now and its a fantastic car in so many ways. Apart from the mpg which you would expect then nothing has gone wrong but it is used and not a garage queen.

Thanks, any ideas on who to use or does it depend on location etc?

Used to rubbish mpg as currently in an Aston!

My FF gives a similar mpg to the other half's DB9. We both take the train to work!

Haha makes sense, glad you are enjoying your FF - they are a rare car to find but seem to be excellent value at the moment!
