I've noticed a couple of small patches of surface rust on the mesh grills near the wing shields and also the slim grills on the rear corners. the other grills are fine.

This will be a job for me over the winter. Has anyone got experience of removing the grill themselves, and how you treated them?

Many thanks

Can't help on the removal of grills but for a 'better than OEM' finish I'd highly recommend Anthony at restorem.co.uk for a quality job, fast turnaround and competitively priced.

I think it’s this sort of intimidation in the forums that the moderators should stamp down on.

It ended up being fairly easy to complete without needing to unbolt the grills. the rust was very light so I brushed it off with a brass brush on a Dremel, applied a light rust treatment then used Cerakote ceramic coating (which I applied to my ceramic brake nuts 2 years ago to protect from rust and it’s still working perfectly).

Good masking up is essential but I was pleased not to have to remove any panels to access the bolts securing the various grills.
