Looking into buying second hand, the same cars seem to be sticking around, with price deltas rather large, for cars basically the same spec

What are peoples thought to the Puro market?

I think the Purosangue is the Ferrari that no-one asked for, only bought to maintain currency with dealers to enable more special purchases. These original owners have started off loading them back to the dealers but there just isn't the secondary market for them at the hugely inflated optioned-up prices.
I would think that low-ball offers will be listened to, especially if the dealer has purchased outright.

I have a GTC4 Lusso. I like the car, i love the engine. But i could see the reasoning behind the Lusso. It's a less classic take on a similar concept. Making the car a little more usable. Higher driver position, rear doors, more usable boot. As an alternative to the Lusso.. i think I would like one.

As an only car like the Urus or DBX can be ? No chance..

So yes.. it is a 4 seater v12 Ferrari, which traditionally have depreciated until they find a floor. They are bought by a different buyer than your 2 seater (who i used to be but can no longer justify given the young kids.. etc).

I think they are finding a floor at the 300k mark asking. Which probably means 250-300k trading. CC have had quite a few and they all sell around there. It's around 2x the price of a Lusso with 20k miles which trades around 150k mark. For a new car, V12 etc etc.. i think you could see that spread compressing over time definitely. Especially as the GTC4 is still considered the "cooler" alternative I suppose.

From ownership perspective I have only heard good things from owners, they ordered one in order to get other stuff, not because they wanted one. BUt when they have it they all say it's eminently usable and fun and well built. I could believe that.

At 200k i would definitely swap my Lusso for one.. but they are just not there. Let us know how you get on if you find one !

P..s.: at the end of the day it's still a n/a V12 and not hybrid etc etc.. so i think that does put a bottom floor as they will not suffer from the anxiety that afflicts the other models in the range (I drove a 296, loved it but would not get one because of the hybrid drivetrain obsolescence anxiety etc..)

In a different register, but definitely on the cool and usable side of things. A DBX interior facelifted 707 non S is a nice proposition. Not a n/a v12, and not a Ferrari, but definitely much cooler and nicer image than Urus and the likes. Not driven one but all i read is that they handle and ride beautifully. But yes.. not a GTC4 Lusso replacement.

As an owner, I love ours. It's as similar to the 812 as you can get from an SUV. We've taken it from the traffic of Manhatten to the snowy mountains of Aspen, to the desert of New Mexico, and it's been faultless. If you have the opportunity, you should try one.

This wasn't bought to facilitate a limited edition - I have no interest in those - but to take the whole family out, rather than one at a time, makes it even more special. There are some downsides to it, not many, but we were aware before it was delivered, and they are easily overcome.

Thank you for your observations. Could you elaborate on the downsides and how you overcome them? Thanks!

Fun and well built should probably be a given at half a million quid hehe
