Extended warranty refund?

Rather than transferring to new owner is it possible to receive a refund for the remaing months already paid for?
This is a Lamborghini extended 12 month warranty.

Yes, I did this myself when I sold one of my Huracan's (about three years ago). Took a while to get the refund as I was apparently the first person to do this so nobody really knew what to do, but it came through eventually. Facilitated by my dealer who sold me the warranty (Leicester).
