Gallardo LP560-4 running costs
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm considering buying an LP560-4 Egear and I'm struggling to find details on running costs. Of course I can get a feel for servicing, tyres, replacement clutch etc but I am trying to figure our how much I should be budgeting each year.
Any other major / costly items (such as clutch replacement) i need to be factoring in?
I would be keen to hear your real-world experiences.
Thanks
Dom

Hi, I have owned a few versions of this car, an LP560 Spyder, a 570 Superleggera and a 570 Performante. The first two were relatively new and I only owned them for a few years and they were absolutely reliable. The last one was about 10 years old when I bought it and had a complete main dealer service history, done every year on the dot, irrespective of mileage. There were no unusual or significant service items over and above the usual requirements throughout its lifetime, the car having covered under 20,000 miles.
At the end of my ownership the front shocks were showing slight signs of misting, came up as an advisory on the Lamborghini servicing but the car sailed through its MOT without any issues.
So I think the advice above is good and reflects my ownership experience, broadly they are very reliable but expect the odd thing to crop up and allow a good slush fund to cover the inevitable Lamborghini tax on repair items.
They are thrilling and very special cars to own and give you a buzz just opening the garage door never mind starting them up and driving them. For me the V10 is absolutely the best sounding engine you can own but that is obviously a personal thing.
Finally a recommendation for motion8 cars, from whom I bought the verde ithica Performante and who took it back for about the fifth time in it’s ownership cycle, they may be able to help you source a suitable car.
Good luck and have fun.
