With the recent explosion of 360CS, 430Scu, 458sp and 675LT prices (two of which i had been seriously considering - 675/430- until they added £100k+ to their prices) i started thinking about what else was available

I always fancied a gallardo super but they also now seem to have added 100k and are over £200k!

So having driven shared driving a Huracan perf to italy last summer in convoy with some other cars of similar nature (and it being the most exciitng one) i had a look where they are.

Between £180-220k seems the range. Which considering how good it is, noise, looks, etc seems good value compared to the £300-500k of its peers.

Until recently i actually always thought they looked quite expensive! how times change!

Interested to hear thoughts.

Before we get into the buy with your heart / its for driving / dont worry about future values etc.... i have always bought my cars considering future values and done OK so will continue to consider when purchasing such a high value (to me at least) purchase

Lambos never seem to go as crazy as their Ferrari counterparts - the Gallardo Superleggera as an example has always lagged behind the 360 CS/430 Scud.

Perfs are starting to increase though - see some asking £250k now.

The Perf is my favourite of the Huracan range.

it's possible, I advised someone to buy a Murci SV (they did) when they were like £300k as they were super undervalued

it took awhile but they are near £1m now

lambos just take a lot longer to rise

They have been at that price range for about 4 years. IIRC my mate paid about £200k for his Perf.

More than a 488 less than an F8, I think the price is about right for a quick Audi wink (sorry just teasing my mate) IMO the Perf is the sweetspot in the range, its very quick, amazing handling, great sound, but doesn't look like a dogs breakfast (STO, SVJ, EVO and Sterrato)

Perf is my favourite too.

I suppose there are lots of other Evo, technica etc models that seem fairly similar though so why would just perf be undervalued

And think your right, people will always make the R8 comparison

Maybe a gen1 R8 GT coupe would be fit the bill, if there any available

I don’t think the Perf is undervalued.

I just tease my mate about the Audi thing. A Huracan especially a Perf is so much more than any R8. I think the Perf is a wonderful thing.

From my recollection they weren't limited unlike Ferrari's and the models that have seen big increases were just that.

Whoah there ..... what the ....?!?

The dogs b**locks more like ! :-)

Yeah I know they are a bit of a Marmite car but in my experience ; everyone who has actually seen one absolutely loves it.

Seriously, in my experience of owning Diablo, G Perf, EVO the Sterrato get's way more positive attention than all of them - everywhere !

( roof box might be a factor, I will concede ..)

Just got back from an EPIC 10 day tour of Scottish Highlands, the roads are so brilliant and also so sh*t ... the Sterrato is the perfect tool for the job - soaks up the potholes like a champ; can cruise effortlessly or roar and attack the road with a ferociousness the like of which you can never tire of ( that induction noise .. sweet jesus !) All which while carrying a decent amount of luggage. ( can you tell I'm well into my fifties ! ? :-) )

Sorry for thread detour - the H Perf is an awesome car as well of course, but I know which one I'd rather do any sort of road trip in..

Its subjective - I have seen multiple Sterrato's, I think they look awful, all sorts of glued on plastic bits. Perf looks way better to my eyes. But as long as you like your car thats good, the joy of different tastes smile

If I want to get plenty of stuff in a car and get to 60 mph as quickly as Sterrato and then go quicker around Hockenheim my Hyundai does that job and soaks up the bumps better...its even orange like a Lamborghini should be.... wink and I'll have enough change to buy a Perf smile

lol thread detour!

Funnily enough I’ve also got a 5N as a daily atm and really rate it. But I’d much rather have a Sterrato! Such cool cars

I took my Perf onto Car Wow again and went up against some much more expensive and powerful metal.

I’m in the last race

Enjoy!

Lovely Perf but that 296gto was stunning. The STO looked a mess

But my thoughts are subjective, they are all fantastic cars in their own right. Perf is exceptional value if it’s worth £185k

Funnily enough, just last night I was doing some research on AT and PH and I thought the same thing. I'll probably be after an EVO rather than a Perf in the coming months, purely down to the type of driving I do and the slightly updated interior. But no doubting the perf is the looker of the lot.

They seem comically undervalued or perhaps the rest just seem massively overvalued, I don't know.

Personally I really don’t like the 296 styling, the rear is so awkward but no doubting it is rapid.

I think it's a lovely thing but it doesn't have the wow factor that a Ferrari should have.

I think it’s more elegant than most Ferraris in recent years have been. It’s flowing curves rather than aggressive slashes and aero toys.

lol I drove my 296gts all yesterday and had groups of young kids yelling at me to rev it and running up to take pictures

I then earlier had a sales guy run out from the Porsche dealer to look at the spec and comment on the colour combo

I think it s the modern Dino - same speed as an SF90, more fun handling, tbh they are criminally undervalued now. Literally everyone who drives one says it s amazing ????

it is, imo, also one of the prettiest cars made in a very long time. There is no way I would buy a 458/488/F8 over one if I had the money to do so. I would choose an Aventador over it for the engine, but that is about it in terms of modern cars in the same price bracket.
