Performante Coupe Clear Engine Cover

Has anyone experienced an issue with the clear (polycarbonate) engine cover ? Mine has some ‘frosting’ around the edges which I suspect is heat damage and wondered if anyone had experienced similar and subsequently fixed by polishing ?

I know racecars with poly/plexi screens are often polished to remove battle scars & wiper scratches, just wondered if this is similar ?

Has anyone experienced this ?
