While I appreciate that the forum name is a clever play on words, every time I see the americanism "gassing", it simply brings to mind

more realistically, I'd love to be able to see a list of threads that I've posted in which have had responses since I posted, and the ability to stop this tracking if desired on a per-thread basis.

you have clicked on the my stuff link just below the Logged in as xxxxxx bit up there on the right haven't you.


The individual thread bit I don't think exists (albeit I would like that as well).

You can. use 'my stuff' and all the threads you've posted in will be shown, and the newest will have the little icon to the right.

yeah, but its not clear which threads you've already read fully, or which ones have new posts, that's my main gripe with it

Go to preferences and make sure you're using the 'Big Blue' skin. Then it's pretty much as above. I'd expect any discrepancies to be down to cookies / cache.

I wasn't keen on Big Blue at first, but like it now

In the Classic skin, it's under the "What's New" dropdown at the right of the central buttons.

thanks, found it in the classic "skin" as famous graham pointed out (kind of negates the purpose of the list of threads held under profile in that skin?) , but am much happier now with big blue skin. thanks guys, especially since I obviously didnt play around enough and do my due diligence before posting. Especially as I'm involved in (agile methods of) deployment of .net based web software!

Glad you are sorted, and "Big Blue" is quite an improvement isn't it!

The list of threads on your profile (rather than in "My Stuff") is not really there for your benefit, it is there for others to see. For example click on my name on the left and you should be able to see I reply to a lot but haven't started a topic in ages!

Big blue is the one I've been using since it came out, (hell, I don't even remember it being different). PH is still, and I pointed this out on another forum, the BEST looking forum out there. Clean, simple, easy to use. Perfect.

delighted I am too that it's been kept simple/clear. other than people embedding the odd image in their posts, I think it's only fair to the paying advertisers that their adverts get to stand out amongst the clear text, and they've been kept to a sensible amount. If I were to need some paid advertising, I'd far sooner choose to have it on here for these reasons than other forums/sites
