Safari would like to know your location

Had started happening only on PH mobile site... curious.

Ideas?

I am certainly no expert but could it be to do with the new google ads? perhaps its trying to advertise places that are local to you?

Not sure but this is ridiculous. Each time I click 'Don't allow' it reloads the page... then happens again. Took 6 retries of page reloads before it didn't happen and I could type this response.

Like I said, not an option. Trust me I have already looked. My settings read:

Settings > General > Location services is simply a slide bar on/off.

Anyway, and a little O/T, I don't know why you'd be using the mobile site on an iPhone. The mobile site sucks like dead dogs balls, or at least it used to.

Normal site is great.

Had this a couple of times. Normally very tolerant but this, and stupid massive flying mcD adverts with no "x" are really starting to fk me off. Go to the main site and the whole bottom half of the page (when scrolled to bottom) is filled with targeted yet somehow completely irrelevant guff. Haymarket is really pushing the boundaries of monetising PH and it is 100% wrong in my opinion. I know you say you don't want to have a "paid for" site, but why???

I think it may be down to one of the adverts. A few days ago it showed me an advert on a thread that said "Best fish & chips in [my town]" or something along those lines.

This is very annoying - I use an iPod which doesn't have GPS (shock horror). I've turned off location services, so now Safari throws a message each page load asking me to turn location services on! Can you stop this?
