What's with the sudden influx of 'lol' to PH?
Am I the only one to instantly dismiss a contribution made to a thread if the poster uses the term 'lol', as I portray them as being somewhat dim?
It seems to only be 'lol' though, I'm not impartial to 'FML', 'ETA', etc.
ETA - We're all aware of web acronyms, there's even a website. No need to post them all here LOL!

really. Lol seems to have pervaded every form of communication these days. You have to wonder if the person who says it has actually laughed out loud at the often dimwitted thing they have said. You can be sure that the people who use it will also have referred to the last decade as the "Naughties". Utter w

I have just had expenses approved (Monday 27th) that total £3430, and they won't be audited until next Tuesday, then paid on Wednesday, to reach my Bank Account on Friday 8th of July. Does anyone know if I can legally claim for interest on this?

I actually found my gripe with 'lol' back in the days of MSN Messenger: when people had nothing interesting to say in reply, they would just write 'lol.' I think it's just becoming a habit for many people, whether chatting online, txting, or unfortunately for us, PHing

These are amusing and really do add something to a post and are four different types of laughing unlike a generic 'lol'.
