Ted

You are apparently using double click coockies. Is this part of the PH site as spybot blocks them and won't let you browse the forums.

Could have an impack on new readers. Is it something new?

I recently switched serving of the ads from my own internal server to an external ad server. That may in turn serve ads from Doubleclick.

My personal opinion is that these cookies are very misunderstood by people. They're normally used to limit the number of times an advert is displayed to you or to trace a referral from one site to another for affiliate schemes.

They don't contain any 'personal' information and any stats from them are simply aggregated to generate reports.

I don't view them as any sort of threat to your PC or your privacy.

I don't personnaly get to worried however alot of people use spybot and it could effect the performance of the site. If I get the do you want to block etc message up, weather I block or not it then doesn't let me see the forum page. I'm thus going to uninstall spybot but it is frustrating.

Interesting. I have spybot installed but not one that monitors each page as I visit it. Surely it must end up warning/blocking many mainstream sites?
