The email to me said that it broke the name and shame rules.

I can appreciate PH's position on this topic. But the unfortunate side effect is that we as consumers do not have a forum in which to discuss our experiences with various service providers.

Some would argue thats the exact function of a forum. But legal liability culture is king.

It also means service providers can be pricks safe in the knowledge its now much harder for their behaviour to be aired in the manner it deserves, because all they have to do is write a nasty letter or threaten to pull their advertising.

We as forum users get the arse because we cant shout at anyone for being stifled. PH have a business to protect, its their sand pit we're playing in.

Id be interested to know if the thread could be replicated, with no mention of the compnay in question though and still be within the rules?

Even worse is that I hadnt caught up with any of the posts after the fourth one before it went!

It was indeed removed as it contravened the sites N&S policy.

The reasons for removal were the same in Teds day as they are today, Ted's reasoning was outlined here

Is that legal? It sounds like they make up fake stuff "by creating Micro-Sites, Blogs and various Social Media sites; we can also create and submit Press Releases and Syndicated Articles" and then pass it off as real to the search engines. Sounds a bit dodgy to me, I'd love to see their client list.
