Firstly, why has it closed?

Secondly, I went to the new page and stared at it for about 5 minutes and for the life of me I can't find a "Join" or "Like" button. Stupid Facebook.

the new one is "speedmatters" and I was advised to go there by an email from the old page which has closed.

eta: I think I must already be a member of the new one Can't find the old one in my list of groups though. Oh well.

Looks like Haymarket could do with a little help with using social media channels.

If only I knew someone who could, perhaps, offer some consultancy based on generating £3.5m p/a from community websites

It was just a bit of housekeeping.

We've been (quite correctly) running our Speed Matters page for some time, and this is where ALL our Facebook activity takes place.

However when we first ventured onto Facebook we set up a group, before FB introduced pages. We stopped updating this or approving applications to join this quite some considerable time ago, but as they were still coming in we decided to make it a little clearer that the group is the wrong place to be to follow us on FB.

In time we'll delete it, but for now we'll occasionally drop news stories into feeds to encourage people to join.
