Looks like some sort of pop up that isn't then serving an ad. We're not running anything like that at the moment though. Are you seeing this on any other sites?

No, I don't recall seeing it anywhere other than PH classifieds.

Actually the panel underneath the "view ads about" box is a google ad panel. Tell me, what do you see at the bottom of a classifieds results page like this, immediately below the last car?

It's an issue with Google AdSense. I bet the advert has a single quote in the title and you're using Internet Explorer.

The advert has an apostrophe in the title, which is probably having the same effect as the single quote which Matt refers to.

Do you see it on this page when you open it in IE? If so, try it in a different browser to see if you get the same problem. I don't get any ads served in Chrome, but I don't get the error box you're seeing.

To be clear, this isn't something I'm losing sleep over.

I just wondered if you fellas might be interested in something I'd observed.

Regarding looking at random pages and reporting back what I see ... well I'm afraid I generally have better things to do.

No need to apologise, we now know what the problem is: quote marks in an advert title stop Google from serving ads, and in some browsers you get an error window.
