"Dirty" PH logo

On my PC and phone the PH logo looks pretty damn "dirty", as if it has been scanned.

Am I alone?

It looks kind of unprofessional to me, out of line with the PH journalists.

I mean the gassing station logo.

Are you using some sort of caching/compressing service on your PC, or are you using a 3g dongle through a mobile provider as they retrieve the page and compress the pictures to save you bandwidth. This usually results in crappy looking images.

Noticed it before when tethering.

OP - Do you get "Hit Ctrl-R to improve all images, Ctrl-A to improve this one" or similar when you hover your mouse pointer over the logo?

I've noticed that before too. Irrespective of the machine or browser I'm using, it's always been fuzzy around the edges.

Never really bothered me.

Oops! You're right chaps it's like that when using 3g connections, must be me. Cheers!

They need to use a PNG or a low colour GIF.

Their watermark on images is also really hideous. All they need to do is filter the resized watermark...

I wonder if it's legacy stuff and no originals exist to draw good assets from?

You are not alone, It looks "fuzzy" on the iPad too. It's not something that bothers me much though
