Does anyone agree with me that the new format is busier, more fragmented, less easy to navigate and more concerned with gathering data and and statistics for profile building than the older, uncluttered, easy to use and navigate format?

The whole principle of site originally was I believe to give us as a community the option to read, chat, admire and dream.... This new format as far as I can tell is a case of re-inventing the wheel..

"If it ain't broke why fix it?" springs to mind....

Any comment or has anyone found an alternative? If so let me know!

This new format is hopeless looks antiquated and box ticking bores me. It was sooo simple before....I predict the new version will be used very little but please dont remove the old one. clear simple quick searches for the car you wanted to find...presumably this is an excuse to charge more for the ads?

Tomdee,

I have voiced my dismay to this at length. THE NEW SITE IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH when compared to the old format. No longer possible to enjoy a relaxing meander through the various marques, comparing prices. The new selection process is complete nonsense. Whoever managed to talk the Pistonheads management into accepting this new format must be pretty good saleman.

Just scroll down, you can search in the same way as before.

Web site asks me to log in to manage an ad of mine ( which now shows car location as Berkshire since the update !! -not N E Lincolnshire) by asking for e mail address & password. None of these work !
However I can log in via a forum to create a post & accepts me as Sprinter1050 -hurrah ! - but then still asks me to repeat log in as above to manage the ad :grrrrr:

Hi,

Plenty of threads discussing this elsewhere, so let's keep it to them please.
