New login redirection - failure

So I'm reading a thread on my iPad, I want to comment, I'm invited to login in order to do so but, when I do, I don't get sent back to the thread; instead I'm asked to "go to forums" or "add a classified something to this account". You guessed it: clicking the forum link take me to the basic Gassing Station landing page.

It might be a good idea to restore the previous functionality...
