Threads being moved.

Can I ask if threads that are posted in some sections, I'm thinking about the regional ones, but it may apply to others, are left where they are? Many on here only ever visit a few forums and steer clear of other forums like the plague!!!
I can only speak for the Southern forum, but I'm sure the others are the same, where we have a community in there where people know each other and want to talk about kids names, (as an example) or are happy to advise on good accommodation (as another example) Sure, if a thread about kids names appears in Engines & Drivetrains then it is probably in the wrong place but maybe the poster in Southern wanted to discuss this with people he knew?
If not, what criteria is applied to other threads that are left in a regional forum and not moved?

Hi Al. So if a baby is born on the South Coast an the parent wants to discuss the subject of names, they can't do it in 'their' region with people they know?
My point is, we all know that some forums are full of young, immature idiots that can start a row in 5 seconds flat! So, we stay away from those forums and chat in one where generally the banter/atmosphere is understood. I'm not saying the 'Lounge' is crap, I've never been in there!!!! I have not even read the baby name thread, but I do keep seeing threads being moved to places lots of us simply don't want to go! That is all.

Not trying to be funny, but we don't read every thread, I do read all titles, Baby stuff by routine WILL be moved to the Lounge it's not relevant as to where the parents of the child are living.
If you were asking for "local shops" that sells prams for example then it would not get moved as the region IS relevant.
