Massive increase in Trade classifieds!!!

This is more of an observation really but I have used the PH classifieds for years to search for cars but over the last year I've noticed a huge increase in the number of dealer and trade offerings.
You look up a make & model and several pages come up but inevitably the result is just one or two private sales! Like all true petrol heads I'm sure most of us would prefer to buy privately for all sorts of reasons.
Is there a fundamental reason why there has been this shift in the balance of trade v private?
Incidentally I don't see this so much on Autotrader where I am increasingly (against my wishes as I don't actualy like their Website)finding myself.
