websites that arbitrarily delete your posts...

I'm an occasional user of pistonheads. Occasionally I find that it (well, the mods I presume) seem to delete one or other of my rather innocuous posts. ??? eg the second post I made in this thread has disappeared, but I didn't say anything controversial? I'm even struggling to think what it was I wrote?

I mean just something really random ie. not an obvious trolling immigration post or whatever. I really can't work it out? But the worst thing is there's no comment on it, so you're almost wondering to yourself whether you really posted it at all? Or maybe you're just going crazy.

It's not the only site I've ever been on that's done so. So what's (do you think) the reason? Can a website continue to exist in such circumstances? Seems a bit off to me.

ETA: I just posted this post which has appeared, however when I clicked submit I got an error message saying address invalid...which it's clearly not.
Database issues at a guess.

Looks like a duplicate post and all in the space of a few seconds one was edited/deleted by a mod just tidying up I would presume and the other was deleted by you; just tidying up yuor duplicate?
from the look of it here anyway, so I don't think the delete was deliberate
