Haven't really thought about it.

Many old resurrected threads are not routinely closed, so I wondered if there was a reason for this one to be closed.

Still none the wiser, I assume it's a subjective decision on your part.

Entirely.

There's enough crap around, the reason there are moderators is to make those decisions. The reason those decisions may be perceived as inconsistent is because there are very, very, few mods and many threads.
