Even though the thread had actually moved on from the initial cathartic tinker bashing to a discussion about how to prevent heating oil theft?

I know the gypsy thing has been done to death on here so I kind of expected a lock after the initial rant but I was a little surprised and disappointed that it got locked as the thread was turning into something a lot more worthwhile.

Still, mods will be mods I suppose.

Not sure I want to bother the big man, I'm sure he has plenty on his plate as it is without having to defend the actions of a mod. Don't mean that to sound anti-mod, the vast majority do a great job of making the site what it is.
