Purely out of curiosity, but are the "unofficial rules" of a topic defined by the OP or is it right to completely ignore the wishes of the OP as long as the rules of PH aren't broken.

Like we have certain threads, like the Fantastic Moments Caught on Camera which does seem to follow the OPs/Blibs wishes. Is this the case with any thread?

I don't know about that, I've always had a soft spot for the Allegro.

Proper answer: I created a thread once, about Christening. In the OP, I asked specifically that it didn't descend into the usual believer-bashing that's so fashionable at the minute. Well, you'll never guess what happened! It turned to ratst and despite repeated requests to shut it down, it never got closed.

You should have named and shamed the Church of Scientology!

If you want a thread to stick to the the thread title, I suggest you name it "Apple vs. Android. Fight!!!"
