My topic got removed

So, I posted a new topic last night asking people's opinions of "something", specifically in this narrow, but targetted, area of Pistonheads as those were the people whose feedback I sought.

It wasn't a particularly popular topic, under a dozen replies in over 24 hours I think, but it stayed on topic, wasn't controversial, didn't offend anyone or discuss any other person or business (never mind negatively), wasn't to promote any kind of business activity or sell anything, and having posted a few hours ago when I just looked in to see if there were any more posts I find it's BEEN REMOVED

All I got was this:

This doesn't even make sense to me - what has numbers of members got to do with anything? I didn't try to contact them all, did I? Forum access isn't limited to members anyway.

Obviously it would have been useful to discuss this with whoever removed the topic - but I can't and it occurs to me that maybe the person that did it is just a keyboard warrior with a little too much power and no backbone (hence the anonymous message).

On checking the records, two moderators discussed this thread at about 10.20pm last night after an abuse report was filed. It was a "look at my blog thread" which are not permitted so it was deleted. The email you received seems pretty self explanitary, these types of threads are routinely deleted.

By all means contact Garlick if you're unhappy about this.
