First post appearing on every page

Ted, when a thread goes across multiple pages I keep seeing the inital post at the bottom of each page. Is it me?

I think that may be intentional, so when you are reading a long thread, you can remind yourself od the first thread very easily, or if you have come back to a thread, the first post is visible whilst you are reading the latest additions!

It's a bug, but if I made it more obvious that it was the first post would it be useful or confusing?

It's confusing -- it's easy to figure out which debate and page you're on from the other cues you already have in place. This not only isn't needed, it uses unnecessary screen space

This may or may not be related to the earlier problem - but I'm now losing the first post so I can't tell what people are responding to!

Just a (further) thought, problem only appears on posts that are longer than one page. Does this help?
