What is wrong with PistonHeads?

No, not the content - or even the posters - but the 'service'? I have a c. 35Mb+ BT fibre optic connection yet almost every time I use PH there'll be lengthy hang ups loading pages or submitting posts, quite often failing altogether and needing a close of the page/site and a reload - that in itself often doesn't work.

Is it just me - never happens on other sites - or is PH too popular and busy for the server capacity, bandwidth or whatever? It really is like going back to dial-up some days.

It is definitely (intermittently) not right.

I have no issues with any other sites, yet PH is running slow from any number of different locations with different types of internet connection/browser/OS/Apple/PC etc.

Yes, despite the last thread being closed for some reason, it's stil not working correctly.

It was quite slow for me yesterday, especially GGassing. Seems ok toaday though.

yep been like that for me too. its was especially bad on Sunday.

You'll see explained on the last post of that thread, the Sky Broadband issue is no longer an issue so a new "Slow" thread is required.

As I stated on that thread, I don't have Sky and the issues were therefore more widespread than for just those users.

Has refused to connect/crashed on 4 out of 5 attempts tonight, since c. 5.30pm. No Sky internet here either so must be another problem (server capacity?)
