7 day ban for posting a link to a topless picture from the 1960s?
With NSFW on it?
In the thread about women from films?

Tell me what rule I broke boys?

I can imagine that given the sheer number of posts on PH the MODS use pretty quick basic rules to administer the content.

Their primary concern will, understandably be to protect their business.

Sexist photos, reasonably will be a concern. PH want the maximum permissible exposure, not a load of complaints about inappropriate content.

They are bound to err on the safe side. We all would in the same position.

Welcome back in 7 days.

It is rather strange, isn't it? A gif was deleted recently because it depicted a lassie on a beach. A public beach on which any youngster can play.

Rule 7 eh?

Post any material that is pornographic, violent, racist, sexist, voyeuristic or is otherwise offensive or unlawful in any way.

Pornographic, no.
Violent, no.
Racist, no.
Sexist, no more than the rest of the thread which consists of women who you'd shag basically.
Voyeuristic, no.
Offensive, to puritans maybe.
Unlawful, no.

Utter bks.

Was it behind a link?

I get really annoyed with borderline content being posted "as is" because it can cause major embarassment at work, as well as pinging the content filters...

It was behind a url link not a picture link.
and it had NSFW on the line before.

Fair enough, slightly harsh then I would wager.

They even deleted a link to a clip from a carry on film.

You know, carry on films that are shown at 2pm on a sunday afternoon on the telly.

I don't know if the person who posted that has a ban as well though.

Posting NSFW does not make it OK to post links to, what is, by definition, pornography.

The decision was made and the decision will stand.
