A question re Pistonheads news content

Dear PH People,
I am using your feedback function to ask why there is a sudden rise in DTM news? And why so little PH space is given to our own domestic touring car series?
I like DTM, but as many PHers are directly involved in BTCC and the series' best chance of growth is with more coverage, why dont we see more space given to it? Its even quite good racing this year.
Regards,
Reardy

Good point, it does seem rather strange not to include 'UK Motorsport', specifically BTCC in the news.
How about a feature on various levels of motorsport, i.e. Sprints, 750MC, Clio Cup, BTCC? Maybe include costs, profile of a driver (how they got into it), details of the car and maybe even a drive in it (comparing to the road-based counterpart).
From a cost (to Haymarket) this would be cheap as the respective organisers/drivers/teams get a bit of media coverage.

Hmm,
I might be alone here but I think that the BTCC gets plenty of coverage all over the place.
The DTM is a bit more specialist and am pleased to see the attention it is getting here.
As said if PH were to start promoting the BTCC there would be a lot of people, me included, who would question that decision (one off reports and competitions are one thing, regular reports are another) and would start to be very vocal about the lack of News items relating to British F3 and GTs. The former in particular when you consider how many of the F1 gird past and present, cut their teeth there.

Hello folks,
Reason for all the DTM coverage here. The main reason we've been focusing a bit on DTM recently is because a) there have been big changes for the 2012 season, b) we wanted to see what that was like and c) there's no small measure of British participation in the series.
We don't generally cover that much motorsport on a regular basis on PH because, to be honest, it doesn't often attract all that many readers.
However, we are interested in the BTCC, and we do have some plans for it later in the season, so watch this space (well not this exact one, but you know what we mean

In that case I do hope that you are in contact with SRO to sort something relating to the F3/GTs.
).BTCC already gets a disproportionate amount of press.
