I get pissed off at the attitude of closing a youtube topic, and directing it to the supposed 'youtube thread'. A lot of videos get lost on GG i guess, because i for sure cant be arsed going through one topic all the time to find something decent (which i assume is the case, i dont even know where it is). I could understand if the board was getting flooded by them, but it doesnt. I doubt this is because of its own topic too.
I think they should be allowed, or at the least a board dedicated to videos people can post. They can make their own topic and it makes it easier for the user to see if its a funny video, serious one, trackday or whatever.

I think the youtube thread serves a purpose in the lounge, which would otherwise be flooded with hundreds of reposts of the latest 'funny' video, but for the other sections where videos relevant to that subject are posted I think it's a bit unnecessary to automatically close them.
+1I would consider it silly if a topic was closed because it was a funny clip of a Jeep getting stuck in a rut and falling on a tree, if posted in the 'Off Road' forum.
It would no doubt spark lively debate and 'hilarious' anecdotes of Jeeps bottoming out, only to be rescued by an £800 Discovery with no front bumper (think of approach angles) and 'One life live it' stickers.
This 'interesting' conversation would probably be missed out on if the video was relegated to the Youtube thread which is only frequented to watch people fart in swimming pools and fall off ladders.
I also like videos in general gassing of engines revving and things, so please consider the video and topic before locking it mods.
