Is there going to be a fix to the search facility soon?

Doubtful. I would suggest using the google search, or even better going to google.com and typing

site:pistonheads.com

into your query.

Not really. If you learn to use Google properly you will easily be able to find what you need.

When it works the PH search is far superior.

• You don't have to leave PH
• The results are clear with topic title and counts
• You don't have to remember or look up the forum ids
• You can easily sort the results

I've never quite understood how hard it is to fix a coding function of a successful website which generates hundreds of thousand pounds a month.

I mean just how hard can it be

Or is the search function only going to be available to the 'Premium' advertisers

It's the hundreds of thousands of posts a month that is the hard part.

I've said before its a credit to PH that there is so much valuable information on here that its one of the places I look for when researching.

It's like buying a Mercedes then having to go next door to the VW dealership to get it serviced.

Why does the PH Google search box give such poor results ?

Type Magnecor in to the search page and it gives 1 page

if you type magnecor siteistonheads.com/gassing into google.com it gives about 652 results

You really want someone to answer why a multi billion dollar funded search engine returns more accurate results than one powered by hamsters?

I really don't get the fuss, it seems a hell of a lot of moaning for no valid reason.
