General Car Chat Forum?

Yes, yes, I know that's what General Gassing is there for. In the good old days you could get away with it, now I haven't visited GG for 12 - 18 months but it may all have changed but I doubt it. i imagine a dull car related thread will be on page 35 within 10 minutes or so.
I think a forum where we could chat about varying cars and get an unbiased opinion would be great. For example, I'm thinking that instead of a Cerbie to complement the Chimaeraski I might fancy a Maseratti Quatroportte (sp?) but if I post it in the Cerbera forum only, or the Maser forum I'm going to get a pretty one sided argument!

So come one Oh Great One, whadda ya say?

Mark, it's not really on to dismiss General Gassing as a waste of time and yet in the same breath say that you haven't looked at it for 18 months.

Mark, I know what you mena, I rarely go in there myself. I probably havent been there more than 10 times in the last 6months (Ted will prove me worng now!).
But...
If I want some info I still go in there and generally get it back pretty quick.

The key to using general gassing is the timing.
Asking a car related question on a Friday afternoon isn't a good idea as everyone is busy post jokes and games. Best wait till monday, but then dont post too early. On a monday mornign the new thread rate is huge and it will get chucked down the list pretty quick.
Id wait for Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.
