Beta classifieds showing old ads?

Hi, using the beta classifieds I spotted an ad which I saw towards the end of last year. The content is identical, including such details as the number of months of manufacturer warranty remaining (which of course should now be 5 months less).

This ad is NOT visible on the old classifieds, nor is the dealer website showing the car in stock.

Is the beta site including old ads deliberately, or is there something else at play? I was aware that not all the ads were on the beta site, but I wasn't aware that it had been padded out with old ads?

Well, it's a beta because there might be inconsistencies between the current site and the new one. In an ideal world, all live ads on the current site should appear on the beta site and any ads that are expired on the current site should not appear on the beta site. So, you must have found a bug - hurrah!

Could you tell us which ad you're referring to? That way we can look into why it's appearing and whether or not it should be there.

I was looking at this car about 4-5 months ago and I'm pretty sure it sold and the ad disappeared from the old site around then. I think it popped up on the beta site around a week ago.

I got excited because I should have bought it back then and thought I had a second bite at the cherry, but it's not available.

Thanks for that, it does indeed appear to be an error in the migration. I will withdraw the advert manually and raise a bug to investigate the issue.
