PH homepage news articles order

Is it just me or does the order of the news articles on the homepage not reflect the order they were put online?
It would seem logical to have the latest articles first, but unless I am going mad, that doesn't seem to be the case, as new articles (I'm looking at you, The Supercar Event - Dunsfold 23-24/06/12) can often appear as far down as seventh in the list.
It doesn't bother me one bit, I was just wondering whether or not I was indeed going mad.
