Are mods actaully moderating this for the past 40 pages the same thing keeps getting repeated and with the silverstone thread running surely it's time for it to be closed.

Repetition isn't against the posting rules on PH.
If there is a specific issue with a post that you wish to raise with the moderation team, use the report function in the top right the post.

Yes but ive seen other threads get locked when the same thing is said again and again this has been going on for a good 40 pages ive seen threads get locked after 4 or 5 pages with the same thing it has nothing new on page 103 than what was on page 60.

If a thread becomes argumentative and generates mod reports, then we'll step in, if it doesn't, typically, we wont.

What an odd request. If you merely want it closed, don't go into the thread. Same result for you, and others can continue to discuss. If you want to discuss something else on the thread do so. It seems silly the amount of people who comment as you have, but offer nothing else as a subject matter. Do you want to be fed subjects or something?

I just gave up on it and stopped looking at it. That is an option.

Simple to do. If you do not want to read, and don't want to contribute to any other subject on the thread, just leave it. Why ask for it to be closed? Seems like an "I am not interested anymore, therefore it should be closed" attitude.
