Don't know if it's me or my computer, but the PH Beta is the only way I can search cars. No where near as good as the 'old' advanced search. Or am I doing something wrong??

Is there something you can't do in the beta search that you could do in the old search?

In the old search all the adverts came up neat and tidy. In this new Beta version it seems all over the place. I'm just hoping it's maybe my work computer that is to fault. Is there not an option to use the old version?

There are 4 different layouts for the search results. Perhaps give them a try and see if there is one you like?

No, sadly the old classifieds is slowly going away. It's taking a well-deserved retirement. wink

I'm still not sure what you mean? Personally I prefer the new look & functions.
Possibly if you can post up a screen grab (if that's the correct term) it would help Matt & the other techie bods working on the classifieds.

Ok I went to the classifieds page which came up with the old site
top right is click here to try the beta site and that message came up

Attempt 2 smile

I did a search for a well known make by putting the make into the keywords box and pressing search
up came a list of cars

I changed search order to price low to high and nothing happened to the list
It's as though I need to press a 'go' button next to the 'Price low to high down traingle' box but there isnt one.
IE8 winXP

Attempt 3
I pressed search to see if it would search in the order low to high but it reverted to nearest first
I changed the order to Price low to high and this time it worked automatically and reordered the list

I can see why it's beta but once it got there thumbup

Hmm, it should automatically sort when you click low to high. I've just tried it in IE8 and it worked for me. Can you try again?

I've tried doing a screen shot, but not sure how to go about doing it. I'm just hoping its the work computer to fault.

Is it shift PrtSc that gives you a screen dump you can paste in paint?

one huge advantage of the old site is it gives you an overall page of manufacturers and models with the number of each for sale.
So if youre having a quite day you can look at the overall page click on one you normally wouldnt be interested, click the ad and buy it

Maybe that isnt an advantage boxedin

Not sure I follow... the beta site has this down to a tee.

Something that i meant to add elsewhere, can we have the mileage from your postcode added back in below adverts on the list without having to go into each advert?

I was going to say 'that's good but how do you get to it?'
but now you click the Beta link and thats where you get directed smile
Have you just changed the menus around and the links ?

Otherwise my browser smash

I'll concede the new version is not as crap as I thought it was a few months ago.

Give it time, I may prefer it. One day.

I seem to of come across a problem. I type peugeot 306 GTI-6 in the keywords box, and I get several other Peugeot's that aren't 306 GTI-6's. I'm not sure why I get 106's, 205, and 306 D-turbo's aswell as the 306 GTI-6's. Also the first 2 adverts are the same.
