Is it just me or have the forums been getting slower and slower over the last 6 months? I'm on a 2mbps connection at work and 1mbps at home and it is usually very slow on both. The rest of the site remains fast. Is it time to archive some threads or move to new server? I used to visit the site almost daily, mainly for the forums, but now they can be so slow I hardly visit at all.
Edited to say it took over 30 seconds to post this topic then almost a minute to return to the forum!

Part of the slowness today is me preparing the migration to the new kit which should go live in the next 24 hours.
That should speed things up a little and then more power will be bolted on as necessary.
Page impressions are up 50% since January so the kit is having to work a lot harder that it did earlier in the year!
