Well I still think the input for fuel is really poor.

I *could* store my own database and log mpg/fuel price at this end, but then why bother when it's possibly a couple of hours coding for a database person at your end.

Cripes, you gave away a WHOLE Subaru Impreza to try get owners adding more data to the system yet after all that the system has remained exactly the same, no clear 'blog' part and no supplements to make adding more data about different things to do with your car/running costs.

Reason for the rant is that after 4 yrs and god knows how much variance in fuel price I'm now just guessing what the averages must be.

The total cost of fuel is probably out by a good 20% by now, and probably not really useful at all either.

Can't we just have a mileage vs time log where we can just enter a mileage and the date is stored automagically, and then current fuel cost can be entered or referenced from a DB?

Maybe I'm the only one but the current costs/mpg bit is not really useful at all because you just have to wonder if the owner even updates their average mpg or pence per litre value as time goes by.
It's nice to go see how much cars cost some people but sometimes a nice £/month figure on fuel is a nice number to look at when thinking about a car but if the values might be out by nearly 100% then it's useless to even show it really.

Cheers
