I am a firm believer in chat rooms only being of interest to teens and sex addicts.

Moderating chat rooms would be problematic and the transient nature of information discussed would mean that fewer people get to read it.

I don't think it would add any value to the site.

oh

i just thought that sometimes people have questions which can be answered in one liners, or have questions that need to be answered quickly.

just thought it would be a more efficient way of doing so to keep it out of the forums ?

what's the difference between a forum and a chatroom? I've never been on a CR, so I've no idea what they're like.

chat room you get to pretend to be a beautiful lesbian and seduce an unwitting participant from a lesbian lounge, who is a 42 year old male truck driver from Leeds pretending to be a beautiful lesbian.

In a Forum you talk about cars.

forum = all information is stored and you can reply at lesuire
chat-room = text is stored per session and you "Logon" to receieve the feed i.e. what you see is current and you can't read anything that was said earlier or later than your session.

Chat rooms aren't worth it IMO, they are generally full of people who come along to name-call and troll - the forum can be moderated and weed these people out, a chat-room is much harder.

One suggestion is that those who want to chat can add their MS Messenger address to their profile.

....Unless you are beautiful lesbian pretending to be a 42 year old male trucker on a drivers website.
