I just posted a thread in General Gassing about finding a place to be able to sell a signed Monopoly game and it seems that it's been deleted. May I ask why?

You should have received an email with the reason.

I expect it was either viewed as an ad, or had no place in GG.

It's an advert by association, i.e. get it noticed on the forums! Whilst that might not be your intention on that post that's how they are viewed.

In general all "What's it worth" type threads are usually routinely removed as they are deemed to be veiled adverts. We remove on average about 10 a day across the forums on a daily basis, some get reported, some we do miss, but once seen they are viewed and usually removed/edited depending on content.
