So. Once again I politely try point out that there is two sides to every story and all I get is abuse accusations and insults.
I get accused of being homphobic and being worried that someone may align me with or think I am gay and since I have had enough of being polite and adult for apparently no good reason I change my user name to disprove my apparent fear of homosexuals.
Throughout the topic i am told words cannot be gender specific hence there is no reason marriage cannot be changed to include the lgbt community. Yet the second i try use a word that gays like to see as being descriptive only of themselves i am banned.

Gay can mean happy and boy can mean ...well boy basically. According to yourselves and those on the thread i am not entitled to describe myself therefore as a happy boy.

Now mods heres an idea. Why not go have a look at that thread again and see who was being childish silly and immature in their posts and behaviour up to the point i changed my forum name both partly out of childishness but largely due to this comment from derek.....
There is a difference between disagreeing with someone's opinion and being appalled by their beliefs. It is a significant difference.
In other threads you have suggested that those who are gay should be treated differently from everyone else. Most people think this belief is to be deplored. The suggestion of someone on the marriage thread was that you should change the term gay with black to realise how wrong your beliefs are. I have an idea that might make it apparent even to you: change gay to Talbut Buxomly.
I take his inferrence to be that i would be bothered with being called gay or aligned with gay people.

Its ok though mods. Other forum members are allowed to spend 18 or so pages "childishly" throwing around accusations and insults but the second i say or do something moderately "puerile" i get a thread ban

I haven't read the entire thread, but from what you quote there, I do not "take his inference" to be that at all. Derek appears to be suggesting you try to put yourself in the shoes of someone who is treated differently from everyone else. To be honest I found the attitudes, comments and insinuations on that thread by the holier than thou pro marriage brigade offensive especially their bigot and homophobe comments.
They know nothing about me yet presume to insult me.
What was most telling to me was that people most offensive towards me were not gay. Djsteve etc whilst disagreeing with my view were at least polite and grown up in their responses.
