There won't be an app, as there's a new mobile site coming next year.

It doesn't make sense to develop a specific app for all the phones out there. There's a lot you can do for mobile sites these days and that's the direction we'll be heading.

Oops sorry! I just would like push notifications of threads I like etc. Apps are pretty easy to throw together and might just be another advertising revenue stream for PH

It is an interesting advantage for an app that I hadn't considered. Still, doubt we'll go the direction of an app (though it's not my decision to make).

I think avforums use it.

AVForums can do that because they use vBulletin and can install it (more or less) at the click of a button. We run our own custom code and wouldn't be as straightforward of an implementation.
