What is the possibility of having an area for resto build threads - past and future? Having lurked on PH for years, resto threads are my favourite waste of time - hot brew an hour or two spare and PH and I'm happy! Resto threads are always well received but currently it's a case of sifting through threads after search or going back through Readers cars hoping to stumble on them.

Have a look through the Readers Cars section. There are some top-notch restorations, rebuilds and modifications in there.

Oh I have rohrl, many a time. It's just that it would be easier if that particular section were all resto threads as opposed to having to open each thread in 'Readers cars' and see if it is

As we get bigger I'm wary of more splits, simply because I wonder if we'll reach a stage where all topics have a sub forum and there's no general chatter taking place.

We create new forums when there are so many similar topics in other areas that it swamps them, not just to make them easier to find, but we'll look next week to see how many resto threads are running as that will give us an indication of need.

I'm not keen to split further right now, but we will look into it I promise. If it appears there is a demand that we've missed then we'll report back.

Fair?

Sounds fair Garlick.

Thing about sub forums is you can get away from the 'banter' and talk about the relevant subject without the argument and general pee taking you get in GG.

I see your point however, if a sub-forum can't be added, perhaps if there was something in the title to indicate a resto thread could be added
