Changed my picture the other day and now it's swapped back to the old Forza one again. What's going on?

I think their servers get out of sync sometimes. Usually rights itself an a day or two.

Caching almost certainly, but where?
As above, I'd not visited his profile before and was served the 'new' photo. Went back again a minute later to be served the 'old' photo. Can't have been from my computer, not likely my ISP either (zen).

We have caching on some pages (news front page for instance) in our cdn.

hehe If you sit there Ctrl+R it intermittently swaps backwards and forwards.
Pretty sure it must be PH Towers servers out of sync or a shagged out hamster.

Clicking on the images opens the pop up which clearly shows the difference:

This is outrageous. Am i the only person on PH with two profile pics?

If i added some more photos i could have a slideshow of images on my page; now that would be cool. smile

Try hosting your photo elsewhere and linking rather than uploading to PH?

Hmm.... How do i do that?

On the profile page it only gives me the option to select a Pistonheads one, so i assume i just use [IMG] to do it in the notes section? But then how do i delete the one i already have?

In the filename dialogue box you can enter a URL - mostly it works.

Nope. Isn't working.

Is there any chance the mods could remove my two photos so i can then add a new one using the image code?

Just done a little experiment. Pressed refresh on my profile page twenty times and recorded the results below.

Corvette C5 Pic: Appeared 10 times
Forza 4 Pic: Appeared 10 times

Half each. Clearly not the cache like Switch suggested, so yes, it has to be something at Pistonheads. smile

I've (hopefully) cleared your profile picture.
