Why does PH feel the need to accept adverts that open up to a near full-screen noisy thing when ever the mouse is rolled over?

Many years ago, I only used to visit the forums here but have since discovered the front page and the articles etc.

However, the roll-over adverts are increasingly annoying.

Fair enough you can move the mouse around them but if you use a scroll wheel to move up and down the page, the last thing you want is to end up on one of these bloody things.

We don't. We have a no noisy ads policy.
But we don't pre-approve every advert. Our ad team do specify no noisy adverts in the deals we have. But sometimes a provider does slip one in. If you can tell us what that advert was for (or a screenshot) we'll notify the ad teams and get it pulled.

Adblocker is the answer. PH would rather you didn't - but then to be fair PH drove me to it.
