What on earth is going on with PH this week?

OK, we're all used to there being a little banter on here (automotive subjects can be emotive sometimes) but so many threads seem to be descending into outright bhing, insulting and squabbling! Some peoples responses are getting just downright rude and personal, as one person stated today, "If someone had said that to me he'd have got a punch in the mouth!"

Come on people, let's keep it light-hearted on here before Haymarket decide to axe all but the straight and factual automotive posts!

I agree, i stay away from all the st slingers and just leave threads to either die out or get back on track.
Just not worth getting into any sort of debate over as opinions will always differ from someone else anyhow.

That's the problem! The whole point of these forums is to debate matters. It would be a very boring place if everyone agreed all of the time!
Unfortunately many members on here cannot differentiate between 'debate' and 'bar-room brawl'!

I've reverted to lurking mode slightly, I often now find myself typing a reply and then thinking "It's just not worth it"

Shame really, I don't remember it being this rude in the past

the odd occasion i'll comment, but its usually met with more abuse. some extremely rude, personal and imo uncalled for posts recently.
