Why Can't I Upload Images?

Please help. Whenever I try to upload an image to a PH discussion I am greeted with the words 'No image to upload. Please try again'. I try again and I get the same message. I've tried it with thumbnails and forum fit photos. I have made sure that the pics are no larger than 2MB. Perhaps it is something to do with whether they're 'beta', because I don't have a clue what that means.
